Terms of Use

Effective October 13, 2026

1. Who we are

Gravel Wire is run by Wilson Rotenberry, doing business as Gravel Wire (“we”), based in Texas. These terms are between you and Wilson Rotenberry, doing business as Gravel Wire.

2. What Gravel Wire is

A free website for gravel racing: an event directory, rider results and standings, tire and setup rankings, course surface reads, and an optional account with a private garage. There are no payments at launch. If that changes, we will say so here first.

3. Estimates, not measurements

Scores, rankings, course surface reads, fuel figures and pressure figures on Gravel Wire are estimates from published specifications, map data and our own models. They are a starting point for your judgment, not a measurement of your bike, your body or any road. You decide what to run and what to ride. Check your equipment makers’ limits and the conditions on the day.

4. Your account

You need an email address and a password. Keep them to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete your account at any time; the Privacy Policy says what that removes. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

5. What you post

Setups, bikes, pins, notes and anything else you add stay yours. By posting them you let us show them on Gravel Wire as the feature describes, for as long as you keep them up. Post only what you have the right to post, and nothing abusive, misleading or unlawful. We can remove content or close an account that breaks these terms.

6. Rider pages

Rider pages are built from race results that organizers have published. If a page is about you, you can claim it. Claiming lets you add to it; it does not change the published results, which come from the organizer. If a result on your page is wrong, tell us and tell the organizer. We correct results by fixing the input, never by editing a score.

7. Brands, links and promotion

Rankings are not for sale and no brand can pay to change them. Where a Buy link appears, we may earn a commission on the sale. Paid placements are labelled Promoted and are never part of a ranking.

8. Other people’s content

Event details, results and map data come from organizers, timing companies and OpenStreetMap contributors. We do our best to keep them accurate and we do not guarantee them. A link to another site is not an endorsement of it.

9. No warranty and limits on liability

Gravel Wire is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, Wilson Rotenberry, doing business as Gravel Wire is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from your use of the site or from acting on any figure on it. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

10. Changes

We may change the site or these terms. For a material change we will post the new date at the top of this page and, if you have an account, email you before it takes effect.

11. Law

Texas law governs these terms. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Taylor County, Texas.
